What I'm Watching:
Since I wake up at 5:30AM every morning and am getting older by the day, I've grown accustomed to weeknight television. Fall brings a new line-up of television shows as well as brings favorite shows back into the mix. Here's a quick run-down of Programs 4219 has watched, will continue watching, or will give up on:
Boardwalk Empire - First couple episodes have made us take the bait. Scorsese (the Producer of the show) loves showing people getting their heads blown off and women naked. Can't complain there. So far, so good. Third episode will depress you and make you cringe at some of the scenes. The costumes / scenery of 1920s Atlantic City are magnificent.
Bored to Death - Loving it, the dry humor is fantastic. Ten Danson has really aged, however.
Eastbound and Down - Disappointed in it. Also we all know where the plot is going, he will one day return to the MLBs. I will watch the victory lap because a rich version of this character will be great. Not one of my favorite shows however.
The Event - Watched the first 2 episodes. Too much back story. Aliens that look exactly like humans except a 1% difference in DNA disappointed me at first, but it could get interesting. What's their mission on Earth? I will have to watch to find out.
Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Great episodes, per usual. Third episode based on the purchase of a house boat is a classic.
Jersey Shore - This started pre-fall is winding down, but this makes Thursday the best night on TV.
The League - Funny, not as funny as Always Sunny, but it's very enjoyable, specifically if you are in a fantasy football league. Rafi managed the Brigade in the Best League Ever. Sometimes Ricky's celebrations are similar to Andre.
How I met your Mother - A Richard favorite. It's funny sometimes, 4219 can put up with it.
Chuck - AWFUL, stupid, worst plot line ever.
Glee - No real member of 4219 has watched this, just the current basement crasher. I saw 5 minutes of it and the cast busted into a song and dance; I do not understand it.
No Ordinary Family - Plot line is about a family who is involved in a plane crash, falls in to some contaminated South American body of water which results in the Family being given extraordinary super powers. First episode was somewhat entertaining, but I could see it getting old real quick.
I'd like to side note that Adam, a member of 4219, has watched exactly 15 minutes total of these programs. He falls asleep within 1 minute of any show on TV or prefers 2-3 minute YouTube clips. He likes to look up now and again and say "worst show ever".
